Cooking Instructions
1. Take the pork chops out of the fridge and let them sit at room temperature for around 15-20 minutes. This helps them cook more evenly.
2. Preheat your oven to 375°F if you are planning to finish them in the oven.
3. Season the pork chops with your preferred seasoning. This can be as basic as salt and pepper or a combination of herbs and spices.
4. Heat a large oven-safe pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add a tablespoon of olive oil or butter.
5. Add the pork chops to the pan. Cook them for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until they get a nice golden-brown sear.
6. If you're finishing them in the oven, transfer the pan to your preheated oven now. Bake for around 10-12 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chops reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
7. Allow the pork chops to rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, making it more tender and flavorful.
Remember, every stove and oven is different, and the cooking times might vary. It's always best to use a meat thermometer to ensure the pork is cooked to the correct temperature.
