Franklin Sports Pursuit Youth Composite Stick is designed to be tailored to the specific needs of youth players by featuring lower flex for maximized performance, specialized grip texture, and lightweight for total control to aide younger players to pursue dominance. We specially crafted this Pursuit stick to include a low 30 flex to allow players to put more of their body weight on their stick which makes it easier to bend (or flex) the stick which is critical to players ability to pass and shoot. An unparalleled surface texture has been added to the top layer of the shaft to maximize superior grip for younger players making stick control easier and for optimized grip in the hands to avoid slippage. We designed it with a mid curved blade in order to maximize puck control and shooting technique for younger players. Mid curve blades are important to help players feel the puck more while passing and shooting. This stick is lightweight, 42" in shaft length and is specifically designed for the developing hockey players to pursue dominance during every practice and game. It is very important to purchase the correct flex of a stick. When you cut a hockey stick a flex goes up, flex is important because it determines a players ability to play the game. Please keep this in mind when purchasing and not that a general rule of thumb is that your flex should be roughly half of the players body weight. This is merely a starting point. Also note that the height of a stick is player preference, a few general rules of thumb are the stick should be between a players chin and their nose.
