Microwave (1 Serving): Combine water, salt, and oats in a microwavable bowl. Microwave 1½ to 2 minutes; stir before serving.
Warning: Bowl may be hot; protect hands when removing from microwave.
Stovetop: Boil water and salt. Stir in oats. Cook about 1 minute over medium heat; stir occasionally.
For 1 serving: ½ cup oats, 1 cup water, dash of salt (optional).
For 2 servings: 1 cup oats, 1¾ cups water, 1/8 tsp salt (optional).
For 3 servings: 1½ cups oats, 2½ cups water, 1/8 tsp salt (optional).
For 6 servings: 3 cups oats, 5 cups water, ¼ tsp salt (optional).
