The drive belt is a critical component of your vacuum that allows the brush roll to spin and help remove dirt and debris from your floors. To maintain optimum performance of your vacuum, vacuum belt should be replaced regularly.
To reduce injury from moving parts, turn off vacuum cleaner and unplug from electrical outlet before replacing belt.

How to Make Your Vacuum Last

Empty Often

Whether using a bagged or bagless vacuum, it is important to not let the bag or bin overfill.

Clear the Brush Roll

Over time, the brush can become tangled with hair and other fibers. Ensure the brush remains clean to maintain performance.

Change the Belt

The belt allows the brush roll to spin and helps remove dirt and debris from the floor. Change every 6-12 months to maintain performance.

Check the Filter

Most vacuums have filters and to maximize performance & extend vacuum life, filters should be cleaned after every use and replaced every 3-6 months.

Step 1: Turn off and unplug cleaner before changing belt. To locate and replace, refer to your owner's manual.

Remove Screws & Brush Cover

Step 2: Remove screws or unsnap brush cover from the bottom of the vacuum. Lift cover to expose brush and belt.

Remove Old Belt

Step 3: Remove old belt from vacuum.
